Ada Lovelace: Goddess of Programming

One of the best things about working with pen, brush and ink is that you actually have a beautiful piece of original physical art at the end of it, completely unique and all its own. And I’d like to give a special piece away to one of you.

To celebrate Ada Lovelace Day, in honor of the woman who created the first computer program all the way back in the 1800s, and would go on to influence Alan Turing and be cited in his seminal paper “Computing Machinery and Intelligence,” I’m going to be creating a special 6-page hand-painted minicomic.

This will be a one-of-a-kind comic, with a full color cover and black and white illustrations within. Not a copy, but the actual art, on acid-free parchment, folded into a comic. I’ll be shipping this off to one lucky person in February, and you don’t even have to be a backer to be considered, though I hope you back Enigmatic Patterns anyway! Just repost, send out a tweet or share this on Instagram and tag @thecodecrimson so I can thank you.
